Restaurant business and sector of public catering of Spain grew this year by 3 % after six years of continuous falling. Such data say that the Spanish consumer prefers again food out of door, and in 2015 this sector of the Spanish economy waits still bigger growth.
The president of the Spanish federation of the industry of hospitality (Federacion Espanola de Hosteleria (FEHR)) Jose Maria Rubio (Jose MariaRubio) emphasized that 2014 became the first year of growth after six years of crisis in hotel and restaurant business of Spain. "In 2014 our market grew by 3,4 %, but this year will be remembered by that the maximum quantity of restaurants and bars in the history of the industry of hospitality of Spain was closed. By our estimates, about 5000 institutions were closed and disappeared in our market" – he declared.
Some of the conclusions, the Empresas del Gran Consumo Associations made during conference, passed in Madrid where the situation in restaurant business of Spain was discussed are that recently, and forecasts for 2015 were given.
