Immigrants who are in Spain with illegal status, have again the right to receiving the first medical care in the centers of national health system (Sistema Nacional de Salud). Despite it, to them will not return medical records which were cancelled after reform in 2012. About this it was declared on Tuesday by the Minister of Health of Spain, Alphonso Alonso (Alfonso Alonso).
"We see these changes very accurately and we work over them. We are ready to take a step as it is not meaningful, that immigrants cannot receive the first medical care", the Minister of Health told. Nevertheless, it categorically against to give out medical records as it "will grant them the rights which do not exist in any other European country".
Illegal immigrants should correspond to certain requirements for access to the first medical care. For this purpose it will be necessary for them to live in one municipality at least a year and to receive similarity of the sanitary card, with validity period 1 year.
