Ski resorts of Spain invest 34 million euros by a new seasonThe Spanish ski resorts which are included into tourist association of ski and mountain resorts (Asociacion Turistica de Estaciones de Esqui y Montana) plan to invest, in total, 34.5 million euros by the beginning of a new season which begins next week.

According to the president of association, Aurelie Bisbe (Aureli Bisbe), "in recent years, the sum of investments was not such high, as this year".
The most part of investments (14,5 million euros) will be spent this year for improvement of slopes and systems of generation of artificial snow. For new lifts it is planned to spend 13,5 million euros. Other part of means will go on improvement of other infrastructure of resorts.

According to Aurelie Bisbe, during presentation in Madrid of a mountain-skiing season 2014-2015, this year the same number of visitors, as well as last year when on the Spanish slopes 5.11 million people have a rest is planned. It was for 4.2 % more than in a season 2012-2013.
It reminded that last season was one of the best in recent years. On the one hand, it was longer, than usually. Weather conditions allowed to open a season already on November 23 thanks to high level of a precipitation, and because of Easter week which passed later, than usually, some resorts as Sierra-Nevada, were closed on May 4.

Among other things, the president of association emphasized that four Spanish ski resorts in this season will celebrate the 50 anniversary from the date of the opening. Alto Campoo, Baqueira, Formigal and Sierra Nevada plan to organize various actions on this occasion.

The first resort which already confirmed date of the opening, Sierra Nevada is. The first fans of skis can already leave on slopes this Saturday.
