In the first quarter unemployment in Spain decreased on 13.100 peopleIn the first quarter 2015 the unemployment rate in Spain decreased for 0,24 % in comparison with the last quarter. According to this published by National institute of statistics (INE), the number of the unemployed was reduced by 13.100 people. This biggest decrease in unemployment, in the first quarter of year since 2005.

The number of the unemployed in the country makes today 5.444.600 people. Nevertheless, despite decrease in unemployment this quarter, the unemployment rate slightly grew from 23,70 % to 23,78 % as a result of growth of economically active population in Spain

Taking into account seasonal adjustment, the unemployment rate decreased in the first quarter for 2,51 % in comparison with the last quarter. During the period from January to March of this year 114.300 workplaces (-0,65 %) that is the lowest falling, in the first quarter since 2008 were liquidated.
