In summer months in Spain are glad to any guests. An exception make unless the Australian spotty or belopyatnisty jellyfishes whom do not favor at the Spanish coast, despite their beautiful name – Phyllorhiza Punctata.
Their stings do not pose hazard to life the person, and nevertheless communication with them brings only discomfort and painful feelings. Usual habitat of jellyfishes are more southern and warm waters of the Atlantic and Silent oceans. Having moved to northern waters, they appeared at coast of Spain. Congestions of these sea animals were appreciable in the resort water area Costa Blanca who is settling down in the Province of Alicante.
Invasion of inhabitants of the seas to the coast of Spain appeared such active that the authorities of the country were compelled to go for extreme measures, having closed 6 popular beaches: Punta Prima, Moska, Playa Flamenka. This measure concerned also Kal Kerrada, Zeny and Kala Kapitan’s beaches. After meetings with jellyfishes about 100 vacationers needed medical care. The sea biologist from Institute of the sea of Barcelona of Jose-Maria Gili warns that climate changes which actively occur in recent years, allow to say that soon visits of jellyfishes in the Mediterranean Sea will have regular character. The main reason for such visits is a temperature increase of water in the Mediterranean.
Besides not so good forecast the biologist gives to all vacationers idle time, but effective council – before bathing to grease a body with sun-protection cream which provides reliable protection not only against sunshine, but also against poison of jellyfishes. Besides, it is possible to choose other venue of holiday, for example, rest in Italy – where jellyfishes do not reach yet.
